Sarah Phillips Headteacher 

Headteacher of Loddon Primary School since 2012. Previously Headteacher of a Junior School. Leadership, governance and teaching experience over 20+ years in a number of local authorities within the South of England.

Rob Henderson - Chair of Governors

l work for Waitrose head office as a Development Manager in the Convenience sector of the business.   I live locally and I am former pupil of Loddon.  My two daughters attend the school and my eldest son, now at secondary school, also attended Loddon.

As a Governor I sit on the Curriculum, School Environment, Personnel and Finance Committees.

John Brady - Vice Chair

I am a member of all committees and Chair of the Curriculum Committee. I also have a role  in overseeing Special Educational Needs, Safeguarding  and Inclusion. 

In my professional capacity I am Director of Human Resources at the University of Reading and I have significant experience in people management and budgetary control.

I have been a governor at Loddon Primary since 1992 and am Chair of Finance & Personnel

Gemma Didcock - Staff Governor

I have been at Loddon Primary since 2011 and prior to this worked at a primary school in Bracknell where I was a class teacher and SENCo. I work three days a week as the Inclusion Leader at Loddon and on my days off I work at another local primary school doing the same role!

Suzanne Ambaum

I work as a Professor of Meteorology at Reading University (working under my maiden name of ‘Gray’). My work comprises academic research, teaching and administrative duties, and includes providing pastoral and academic support as a tutor to students. I have three children, all currently at Loddon  

Eleanor Gunbie - Staff Governor

I have lived in Lower Earley for almost 30 years and have four grown up children and two grand children. I started working as a lunchtime controller when my two younger children attended during the mid 90's so have seen the progression of the school into Loddon Primary.  I have been a teaching assistant for about 15 years and this is my second term of office on the governing body.  I also regularly attend the local church where my involvement is mainly within childrens groups.

Faisal Hussain

Architect at Microsoft , delivering solutions and managing people is my thing. I am passionate about technology and design. For me learning and teaching is the way of life and that’s what makes me most excited. I am always interested to support local community as I believe we all need to give back whatever we can. I am excited to be on governors board and looking forward to help.

Katja Strohfeldt-Venables

I am a Dean for Teaching and Learning at the University of Reading. As a Dean I am responsible for the Quality of teaching at the University and I oversee all teaching related activities within my subject areas, which include Humanities, Languages, Literature, Film, Typography and Arts. I initially trained as a secondary school teacher for Biology and Chemistry and then decided to stay at the University to start an academic career focusing on Teaching and Learning. I live locally and I am very passionate about getting involved in the local community. Our daughter attends Loddon School and she has been part of the first cohort with three form entry

Rebecca Chard

My career and voluntary experience has always been focused in education and young people, beginning with training to be a secondary English teacher after graduating, before going on to pursue a wider career path in education. Until recently, I have worked at the University of Reading where I have spent 8 years in different roles supporting students. I currently work in children's services at Wokingham Borough Council. Alongside this, I have chaired the PTA for two years. I am parent to Jessica (year 2) and Benjamin (FSU).
